Gears of War 2 is one of the most successful games on the Xbox 360 ever, and is infamous for selling millions within a matter of months. This, despite being limited to a single platform, was a humongous feat for developer Epic Games. However, some recent evidence uncovered suggests the impossible. Could it be that Gears 2 is really going to lose it’s Xbox 360-exclusivity?
Once upon a time, Epic developer Cliff Bleszinski stated “Gears of War is a great franchise first and foremost for Xbox 360, and therefore we’re focusing on that platform for Gears of War 2. We’ve decided we’re not going to do a PC version this time around.”
Animator Markus Hammarstedt currently works at Epic Games, Poland, better known as People Can Fly, the developers who ported the first Gears of War from 360 to the PC. A natural assumption was there that they could handle the porting job for Epic on Gears 2 as well, but this was quashed by Bleszinski’s above comment. However, we discovered the following animation test that Hammarstedt did for People Can Fly several months ago.

However, as this has neither been officially confirmed, much less suggested by Epic Games, we’re classifying it as a rumour. On another note: Cliffy B stated around the same time that Gears 2 would not make it to Germany (most likely because of the censorship system) and Japan. Nonetheless, with the game’s success, it was readied for release in Japan. Is it so impossible for them to go back on the decision to port Gears 2 to the PC? It would keep the franchise in the news and in the minds of gamers, especially since the next iteration isn’t apparently due till much, much later (rumours have varied between “next generation” to Project Natal’s release). We’ll have to wait for some official confirmation from Epic in the meantime.

the title of this article can’t be right, otherwise every single gaming website out there calling “exclusives” to games that come out on 360 and PC are are lying to cover up the huge lack of exclusive content on the 360
so is this is true, 360 good exclusives list: Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST, Halo Wars, Fable 2 and Forza 3, did I missed any good one?

Actually the only games that would be good on the 360 would be Halo, Fable, Forza, And Left for Dead. This is noting in comparison to ps3’s inFAMOUS, MGS4, Ratchet & Clank, UNCHARTED, GOW, LBP, GT, Killzone, Motorstorm, Resistance. I guess ps3 would still have 360 beat even with their precious Gears.

the word exclusive is clear, if the game is in any other platform, it is a multi. And I said other platform, not other console.
If you can play it in different platforms why call it exclusive?
hello to all of u id like to say some stuff first i will say that in my mind gears of war 2 is like a treasure that should be shared with everyone like the great country of america i think if you can put this fine and outstanding game on the computer it should be done for enjoyment people are entitled to enjoy their lives and they would much more if they had a computer and they like to play games and gears of wars 2 came out for it and then they bought it that’s just my two cents
I played the demo of PGR4 and it sucked, Dead Rising is just average and dead of alive is 4 year old second class fighting game, not on the same level as tekken or street fighter

that’s it, those 3 are the sole reason to buy a 360 if you have a mediun powered gaming PC

As much as people are correct here in saying there’s only a few Xbox 360 only exclusives, you have to remember we’re talking about Microsoft here… When they mean an xbox 360 exclusive they typically mean a game that’s coming out on any of their products – just not on Sony’s
Quality, not quantity.
Conviction is going to be better than all your exclusives put together.

Pretty much the only good exclusives on the PS3 are Uncharted 2, and GTR 5.

I own all 3 consoles and I can tell you all three have good games, I still play the most with my 360 because of on-line is better but regarding your list, I have to say that:
Resistance 1 – Below Average
Uncharted 1 – Great Game
Little Big Planet – OK Game
Metal Gear Solid 4 – Excellent Game
Motorstorm Pacific Rift – Mediocre, bad game
Ratchet and Clank Future 1 – OK
Valkyria Chronicles- OK
Infamous – good game
Demon’s Souls – Awesome Game
Killzone 2 – Great graphics – poor on everything else
Resistance 2 – Average
Uncharted 2 – One of the best games
Ratchet and Clank Future 2 – Haven’t played it.
Heavy Rain – Not even out
God of War 3 – 6 months away
MAG – I played the beta and not impressed

I bought all 3 consoles because of the exclusives, and the PS3 and the 360 exclusives are very close, I think right now PS3 is ahead because of Uncharted, on the other hand I think live is way better than PSN but I still have to pay $50, but I will happily until Sony does PSN’s party system available.
