Microsoft “Developing a New Gaming Category” For Project Natal

Microsoft recently updated it’s Project Natal Jobs page with three new listings for Developer, Creative Director and Producer, for what can be assumed are for a single project (being simultaneously posted on the same day). Beyond simply looking for the required men/women of caliber, Microsoft Games Studios seems to have a rather different pitch this time.

The roles and requirements of each position vary, but the common tangent is indeed as ambiguous as it is disarming:

“Microsoft Game Studios is looking for [insert position here] who is [insert special skills required here]. This is a phenomenal and rare opportunity to be part of a core team developing a new gaming category for the Xbox 360 Natal program.” Two listings throw in the ol’ “be-a-part-of-the-magic-from-it’s-beginning!” pull for good measure but you get the drift.

A new gaming category? One would think heaving this way and that like a chicken impersonating Shakira’s She-Wolf steps was…complex enough in it’s own right. But Microsoft Game Studios is actually gonna slap a name on it? Now that’s something to look forward to.
