the trick with crysis is .. tah-dah .. very big texture samples .. this makes the game look sharper and more detailed ..(this is pretty much in the same class as bump mapping )… meaning that the tech crysis uses is easily replicated by using a comp with enough processing power to display it fast enough.. oh and let not forget the person who either has an SLR camera to take such a big sample / has some basic photoshop skills

.. uncharted has a a different approach in the game .. as the Gpu processing power ( fairly powerful enough .. i think just a little more power than a Geforce 8800) is unchangeable .. but the Cpu processing power ( some say it’s powerful only in paper ) is pretty high up there .. they take advantage of the cell archi setup of the ps3

meaning since the system has 7 spe slots ( this must probably mean that the individual spe is low … not sure though) but this allows the system to take individual jobs to perform nicely … meaning 1 spe is set up to be incharge of textures while 2 spe runs from specular calculation .. meaning that the game actually dishes out more polygons rather than relying oh texture .. ( this is actually the same debate they have with direct x vs openGL .. )

but in actual game .. i think uncharted 2 will win
because since crysis is designed by EA .. it comes with all of EAs problems .. the characters them selves are very stiff and the actions and the enemy AI isnt very smart .. and not to mention the water effects in crysis is sub par with uncharted

but what crysis excels in are the effects .. crysis has a good sense of flora and fauna .. the physics engine is implanted to almost everything in crysis .. ( and what i mean by this is that .. a blast from a c4 charge will effect a little pebble ( if it wasnt attached to the floor … and thats about all it in crysis

uncharted excels in every other thing that crysis isnt good at .. characters are nicely developed and believable, story telling is very very good .. camera angles really brings the game out of the screen( really un-fare this one because crysis is basically 95% in the FPS camera view )

but over all .. i played all cry games ( including farcry 2 ) and i have played uncharted 1 and currently playing uncharted 2

the only thing i can say is i have played cry games once .. and stopped playing it when i finished .. while in uncharted i probably finished the game about 6 times and probably would have been playing it for a while if ps3 games didnt come out .. ( metal gear 4, killzone 2 , fallout 3, gta4, infamous , re 5 .. also gears 1 .. i didnt really like gears 2 )

not that im noting that they are all good graphics … im just saying they are pretty fun .. oh and finished infamous killzone 2 and GTA4 only once and i put it down ..

bottom line .. crysis graphics .. are very sharp and crisp … but the animation and movement is very jittery and twitchy

uncharted 2 graphics is a touch lower than crysis .. but it does better in everything else .. ( i really hated the aussie accent of warhead ) u name it .. uncharted 2 does it better .. lip sync, mocap/ acting, music, animation, action fluidity, etc etc .. oh .. AND THE WATER ~~!!! uncharted does awesome f@#!in WATER ~~!!!

E.g. crysis was never ina city, tanks look very different, the guy in the picture isn’t in crysis 1 or 2 either.

Also Pc version of crysis graphics are allot better than these crysis graphics

uncharted does look very good for a consle. crysis still wins.
