Looking at the latest TV Coca Cola ad starring famed Bollywood actor Aamir Khan and a very strange animated avatar – as a gamer and a game character respectively – you might think that they’re taking a silent stand on which console they prefer. The ad shows Aamir clearly holding an Xbox 360 wireless controller, which his girlfriend incidentally handles like a strange alien weapon, ticking off the cliches one by one. Check it out for yourself!

All the cliches check out – “cool” game character with lots of “attitude”, girls looking cluelessly at technology, holding said controller like a society lady looking at her first dildo, and a guy so lost in technology that he’s not even there in the room when he plays. Great job not bothering to think of anything new, folks that came up with the ad! Still, it’s nice to see that someone actually bothered to keep a real controller on the screen and not just let the graphics drive the idea home.
