Wolfenstein Multiplayer Concepts Art Revealed

wolfenstein

Wolfenstein (2009) is a quartet development effort of id Software, Pi Studios, Endrant Studios and Raven Software. Despite the positive critical reaction, the multi-platform title has only sold between 100K-350K units (depending on which site you believe) – much below the par of 2001′s Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Nevertheless, it features a solid mix of sci-fi and historical accuracy in it’s art direction.

These concept art shots reflect nearly everything from the multiplayer mode, from levels to weapons and character designs. All concept art was developed by Threewave Software’s Eduardo Gonzalez, Cesar Rizo and Stuart Ng as part of their contract on Wolfenstein, now released for your viewing pleasure. It has been noted that “concepts are done from scratch, or are paint overs from iterations of the maps during development, or paint overs of assets from the single player component”.

The single player campaign was fun but the multiplayer was god awful. The team that developed the multiplayer needs to be fired at once. They promised that it would compare to Enemy Territory’s gameplay and the only thing that is similar between the two games is the graphics. The graphics in multiplayer are that bad.
