Rumour: Silicon Knights Involved in THQ’s Darksiders
Filed under: Gaming News and Reportage One Response
Darksiders, the PS3/XBox 360 action adventure game of mini-guns and medieval swords mayhem, is on the verge of release and looking awesome. The story itself, wherein you take control of one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, War, caught in a battle between angels and demons had me hooked from the get-go. Even more so when it was discovered that Silicon Knights (Eternal Darkness fame, Too Human debacle) has some role in it.
This was seen in the resume of Environment Artist at Silicon Knights (now working for Rockstar Games), Chian Chia.
Did THQ outsource some development to Silicon Knights? It doesn’t appear that Chian was freelancing, since he states his time at SK was spent in both Too Human and Darksiders development. More on this story as it develops.

I knew it. Strangely, I felt a Blood Omen vibe in there. Then, when I finished the game, I saw Silicon Knights with the endcredits! Can’t be a coincidence. Though by Crystal Dynamics, some things are a bit Soul Reaver too. When I first used Shadowflight, I thought, Raziel!
