gr8 article – enjoyed it immensely. if only every applied logic the way we do… i have to admit that activision are being incredible mean to gamers because all they do is make cheap ass games about anything and charge double what they invested in it.

CoD will always sell because of the name and 50pence is featuring in modern warfare 2 – how much did that bell end cost to have him say some shitty lines and ruin the game! Another gimick by activison – aswell as bringing out night vision goggles in the best expensive package of modern warfare 2. Thousands of people will buy them and they are gonna be the worst quality night vision goggles u can get!
I hate activision and am seriously thinbking about boycotting all of their games.

As with FF – at least they put years of effort into making a game good and worth its money unlike MW2, but 13 should definately come out be 14. otherwise consumers will get confessed and ppl will complain

I think the major defining characteristic is that Kotick is a money-grubbing, greedy douche, and makes it publicly known as such with comments like “I would charge more for games, if I could”

SquareEnix, on the other hand, has made some mistakes but nothing as abrasive as what Kotick has done. I would agree with you about FFXIV. I don’t think the online MMO-based FF’s should be numbered iterations of the series.

I also agree about the horrible spinoffs and such. Fortunately the ones that really ended up crap were developed by third parties and published by SE.

I feel that MW2 doesn’t need to be priced higher, and that SE would have much more justification in charging a little more for FFXIII. (2 years vs 5 to 10 yrs in development..)

Personally I don’t mind the price hike on MW2 because I’ll be playing it on PC, so it won’t cost me any more than it normally would, if I had bought another brand new console game.
