New Need for Speed Nitro Trailer: Welcome the Underwhelming?

Filed under: Gaming News and Reportage One Response

nfs nitroEver since the “rearrangement” of Black Box, developers of the infamous and much maligned Need for Speed Undercover, NFS has been on a reinvention trip. First there’s Need for Speed Shift, which aims to return the focus to the professional street racing scene of Underground, Most Wanted and Pro Street. Then we have Nitro, EA’s so-called “arcade” side of Need for Speed releasing exclusively for the Wii. A new trailer has emerged, with the game looking strictly decent at this point. If you squint hard enough, you’ll notice pop-up and what appears to be textures emerging as you the scenery gets closer (!). The strange sheen-like effect of the latter can also be seen on neighboring vehicles, so maybe it’s normal. There’s still time before it’s November 17th release to work out the kinks – until then, admire the distinctly snazzy customization and tag creation options.

wtf

You sucks so hard, even harder than your MS2 comparison.
That “sheen-like effect” is the tag mechanic that it was talking about AS IT WAS SHOWING IT
