Square-Enix LA Handling Final Fantasy Related Development?
Filed under: Gaming News and Reportage No Responses
Square-Enix established their new Los Angeles studio to expand their reach outside of Japan, in contrast to most JRPG devs dealing closer to home. This was soon followed by their purchasing of Tomb Raider dev Eidos and renaming it Square-Enix. Not too long ago, an interesting LA listing made it’s way onto popular online classifieds site, Craiglist.
We’re looking for some hard core Final Fantasy players that can give us some insight and your opinions about the game.
We’d like to know how many months/years you’ve been playing.
Which version of FF you’ve played.
What would you like to see in any new version of FF.
Ideally, we’d need about 8 hours of your time spread out over 2 days within the next week or so.
Compensation is being offered for your time, knowledge and experience.
Please provide us an e-mail address or phone number and the best time to contact you.
Thanks!Location: El Segundo
it’s NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests
Compensation: no pay
And where would the Square-Enix LA office happen to be located? Where else but 999 N. Sepulveda Boulevard, Third Floor, El Segundo, CA 90245.
This listing stands out because, “Square Enix is building a studio from the ground up. We are making an action-oriented original IP game here in sunny Los Angeles”. And Final Fantasy is as original as Mario and Zelda. This may be for public opinion, such as a group survey for work on-going. Of course, what kind of work could possibly merit 8 hours of time over 2 days for no pay is any one’s guess.
