TGS ‘09: Kojima’s Next Gen Tech, Playable Build of Last Guardian?

kojimaIf you thought E3 2009 was the big budget party, then the Tokyo Game Show ‘09 would be the after hours rave (only, in Japan): Sleeker, more nuanced and in some cases, more sublime than insane. After debuting Metal Gear Solid Rising and Portable Ops: Peace Walker, sources tell us Konami’s Hideo Kojima is already working on next generation tech and that we’ll most likely see a demonstration at this year’s TGS.

the-last-guardianThat’s not all. It seems Fumito Ueda and Team ICO’s The Last Guardian will be present in full flow this time around. This could possibly mean playable builds and definitely new gameplay footage.

TGS 2009 will be held from 24th September to 27th September at Makuhari Messe in Mihama-ku, Chiba. The first two days are reserved for gaming industry professionals and the later two days for the public.

sweet it’s even in Sept, not Oct!

Looking forward to this man!

This E3 was just a complete trash!
Everyone was just looking forward to the hyped games such as Modern Warefare 2, Halo ODST, GOW 3 etc.

Now in Tokyo, we should see some real sweet games!

Calling someone the N word is totally inappropriate. I hope that the (good?) people of split-screen.com monitor comments closely and abide by good standards.

We’ll likely see a lot of Peace Walker for PSP a trailer and gameplay. Maybe a trailer for RISING… but given that they’re retooling the MGS4 engine for multiplatform use I doubt it’ll be better visually than MGS4… The final game certainly won’t have high quality audio, and it looks as if it’s a spin off, it’s being made by new staff and likely nowhere near as epic in scale or story, but it’ll likely still be a very fun title! Also I’m not sure about Last Guardian being there in playable form, but a new trailer looks definite!

It will be better cause now they can use the superior shaders of the Xbox360 it will look better(also cause it’s a newer engine) audio compression is impossible to notice by the human ear so the audio perception will be exactly the same…stop this BS

Chris

They better show stuff on KH: BBS and KH3 or ill scream!
