Tekken 6 isn’t the only game on Namco-Bandai’s cards. Not by a long shot or a critical strike. Just recently, a patent was filed and approved on a seemingly brand new IP by the name of God Eater. It will be developed at Namco-Bandai Games Inc., Japan. No platforms or genres have been detailed as of yet, but this is one of the preliminary stages in game production. Which means we won’t be seeing this earlier than 2010.
Is the name similarity to now defunct Clover Studios’ God Hand a mere coincidence? Most likely but just how many new IPs has the developer made in the past few years? Nonetheless, the effort at originality is appreciated.

One Response to “Namco-Bandai Files New Patent: “God Eater””
I think you meant to say that Namco-Bandai filed for a new trademark, not patent.
