Rockstar San Diego Working on a New Midnight Club?

midnight-clubRockstar Games, developers of the notorious Manhunt and Grand Theft Auto series, are also known for their experience in realistic racing games. Especially those that were ripping up the open world environment, street racing and import scene before EA ever got around to the concept of NFS: Underground, Pro-street and what have you. Midnight Club, developed by the Rockstar San Diego division, has sold more than 12 million copies since the first game released. If the LinkedIn profile of 3D Vehicle Artist for Rockstar San Diego David Finlay is to be believed, the company is working on an “unannounced racing game” due for release on the Xbox 360 and PS3. The latest title, Midnight Club: Los Angeles, was released on the same platforms late last year.

With Finlay and Rockstar San Diego also working on Red Dead Redemption, this is certainly a low-key yet significant development. Here’s hoping the title turns out to be a brand new Midnight Club. After NFS Undercover, racing fans could surely use it.
