Smells like someone shit in your cereal this morning. The PS3 may catch up to the 360 but it will never catch the Wii. There are more little old ladies lining up to buy a cheap Wii then their are people willing to spend the money for a PS3. I own all 3 systems but the PS3 only gets used probably once a month. The 360 simply has a better online component. Blu-Ray is really the only thing the PS3 has that the 360 doesn’t and I can go out and buy a Blu-Ray player now for less than half of the cost of the PS3.

Really well written article. And yes, I believe the PS3 is coming of age. Its exclusive are all that my friends and colleagues talk about and purchase. Time to rise, Sony. An uphill battle is more honourable than claiming victory with no competition.

So you’re claiming that the single hit PS3 currently have in the west (killzone 2) will be aided by multiplatform titles such as Resident Evil 5, Stormrise, Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X., Dark Void and The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Althena and help the PS3 reign.

But on the other hand, the X360 exclusives in the form of Halo Wars, Ninja Blade and Velvet assassin will not be aided by the exact same titles? Then how about more exclusives such as Star Ocean 4, the Lost and the Damned, Race Pro and Stoked? This season the X360 is just packed with exclusives, so I don’t really see how the PS3 can turn the tide now. Perhaps later (much later) this year…

Ok article other than I don’t think Socom:Confrontation can be listed as anything drawing any major sales in the near future. The game has had nothing but problems and is widely reported as being a flop. They messed up with it big time.

Great read. I never new the figures were in such a good position for the ps3. Usually triple A titles release for the ps3 and don’t really affect sales. I guess the news about the ps3 having the better game line up this year is finally reaching the average consumer. See you guys on killzone 2.

Great article, bro. It should be interesting to see how 3rd-party titles do this year on the PS3. Just wish more hand Home support to help swing sales in the PS3’s favor.

Perhaps in late 2009 or early 2010 Home support will HUGE..I know Sony certainly hopes so.
