Recession continues to take in more victims as Sony announces further measures to cut costs. This announcement follows the company’s projections that it would lose $1.68 billion for the fiscal year. This comes on the heels of Sony’s earlier measures to save $1.1 billion. Admitting that earlier measures taken to reign in costs were not effective, Sony’s CEO Sir Howard Stringer said that he will be taking a pay cut along with other executives and managers.
The company is, however, declining to comment on reports that up to 2,000 people might be losing their jobs.
