Letter to Little John

We get a lot of mail from people who call us PS3 fanboys, Xbox whores in the same breath, people who make statements which, quite frankly, are anatomically impossible, and people who make statements which are just silly. I suppose we are supposed to be offended by these brilliant gems, these badly misspelled missives which bear no relation to the English language, and show no familiarity with punctuation, but we live in a free society, and every one is entitled to their own opinion – even if the opinion is that we like to pleasure ourselves with the SIXAXIS controller.

So when I received this latest email from someone who called himself Little John, I was actually thrilled. It was actually spelled properly!

Little John wrote:

How does your family cope with your obsessive play?

Obsessive play?

You people have really got to get yourselves checked… its one thing to break a story – another to invent one.

Or do you live in this fantasy world where all gamers (maybe only MMO gamers) are addicted/compulsive and negligent of real life?

Somewhere deep down inside – I suppose I should feel sorry for you guys… But I don’t ;)

Well done Wee Willie, good move on the spellcheck there! But oh no! You didn’t do the humor check – something that text editors won’t handle for you I’m afraid. Dinky Dick hit again with some scathing comments, and we were struck down by them and might never recover!

LJ, if you’re planning on heading our way and leaving us with some more of your wisdom – and we yearn for it, truly we do – leave your email id next time around. Then I’d know that you’re not just pissing around and really believe what you’re saying.

Good on you mate, you’ve changed the world and made it a better place. Keep up the good work, though I guess you’re probably busy working on curing cancer and bringing world peace to do this too often.
