Welcome to another edition of loading! Today I will go in-depth into the world of spamming. When I was starting out in my CS career one of the veterans had told me something I have not forgotten to this day.

You can shoot through almost any wall and any object in CS. Never think you can’t. Sure you will have failed attempts at spamming but sooner or later you will understand exactly how when and where to spam and get your opponent.

First things first there are plenty of guns in CS and 90% of all weapons in CS have the ability to shoot through the wall. Now remember you can’t Spam with a Pistol unless it’s a D-Eagle. And all guns spam expect the SMGs.

Now Lets start with the MOST important. How do you know an enemy is standing behind a particular wall?

1. Sight – You saw him move or camp there.
2. Sound – You heard him running or jumping or switching guns.
3. Intuition – Experience does marvels on this part you sometimes blindly guess or it’s a familiar camping spot.
4. Teammates – Teammates Screens and Communication can help one a lot while spamming.

Shooting & Sound

Always aim at Head height. Just as we discussed earlier the head does maximum damage and same goes for spamming too. When Spraying an opponent through the wall don’t fidget with your bullets, shoot at the same spot. If it’s hitting him he will be stuck in your spam without being able to move. Don’t shoot all your bullets blindly thinking he is there he may pop out from another side and kill you. Do it if you are certain (for beginners only). Now I’m assuming you have a good pair of headdies by now and are relatively clear about the different sounds in Counter-Strike.
Quiz Question – When you hit an opponent does he make a sound ?

a) Yes

b) No

c) Both :p

Well the correct answer is (a) – YES. Your opponent will make a sound if you hit him. And that is how the experienced players know when and where to spam they shoot 1-2 bullets hears an opponents cough (that’s the sound the player makes when hit) and then sits down and lets go on that same spot.

How can I improve my spamming?

Well its very simple.
1. Study
2. Practice

No I am not asking you to prepare for your exams.

1. Study your HLTV Demos Closely. Did someone spam you and you didn’t know from where? Get to the free look view in the demo by pressing Space Bar and see the angle and position from where you opponent fired at you.. See how he knew. Was it blind luck or did he hear you? Did his teammate tell him?

2. Practice with bots. Spamming bots can really help you improve your spamming techniques. For this purpose I am uploading these SPAM-SPOT maps just download them from Split-Screen.com and paste them in your Maps folder >> (Program Files\Steam\username\Steamapps\cstrike\maps\ )

Now remember Spamming Damage and damage without a wall or object in front of you is different. What I mean is that when you spam an opponent it will do less damage to the opponent than when you shooting him head-on. It is kind of logical because the wall will reduce the velocity of the bullet that it hits the body with and therefore reducing the impact. Anyway when you spam, remember if he isn’t dying as quickly as he normally should, but you can hear him on the other side, don’t worry a few more bullets will do the trick. Better yet, why not chuck a grenade at him?

Don’t rage in public about spamming

Now once you perfect the art of spamming (although you will never perfect anything in CS let me assure you), its an evolving e-sport practice simply makes you better but one can never be perfect at CS. Anyway when you do become somewhat good at spamming don’t worry if people call you a hacker. It is very common to see new players shout hacker when they see a player shoots through a wall and kills the opponent.

Advantages of spamming

Spamming has a lot of advantages if you kill an opponent in spam its obvious you shot him through something and could see him and in all likeliness he couldn’t or at times never saw you. This gives you advantage in terms of positioning as well as Health Power because if he didn’t see you there’s no way he would have hit you.

Counter Spamming

A lot of times when I spam an enemy I usually die in counter spam. It’s very simple if you hear your opponent spamming you, shoot him back from the same spot cause spamming is perfectly reversible through the wall and you could even ask a teammate or two to backup spam with you and get the poor guy who thought he would be cheeky by getting a quick kill in spam.
