How to level up quick in the World of Warcraft

Starting Notes: Use http://www.wowhead.com/ liberally to find quest items etc.
Also it would be wise to pick up new spells and abilities when you stop over in major cities in transit from one leveling zone to another. Of course, when I say ‘run’, I mean get on your mount and ride to mentioned location.

Right, so irrespective of your starting race, you will have an NPC offering you a starting quest called “Welcome to WOWWTF”, accept the quest, kill the bunny and hand it in. You will instantaneously be leveled to 43 and teleported to a ring in Orgrimmar. Once you are teleported, click on the button that looks like an arrow on a bull’s eye, at the bottom of your screen, next to the icon that looks like a book (which is your Spell and Ability book).

Now you should have a small window opened up with 3 tabs (Each is called a talent tree or just Tree), each pertaining to a certain style of gameplay, depending on your class of choice. Putting points into these various trees is known as speccing or specialising. Depending on your class, follow the link and put points into the various talent trees (the following links are simply recommendations which I believe would result in faster leveling).

To set up your user interface, click on the button at the bottom of your screen that looks like a computer (it’s your options menu). Then hit the interface button and Check all the boxes that say ‘Right Actionbar, Right Action Bar 2 etc. Now to set up your buttons, open your spellbook as mentioned before and drag the spell of your choice onto the action bar.

Remember, set up your keys depending on the urgency of their use. For example keep your main attack spell (supposing its Fireball for a mage) closer to the bottom left of your screen for easy access. However a spell which you wont require except on very rare occasions (assuming its evocation, again for mages) may be kept further away to the right so that it doesn’t clutter up your main quick action interface placement. For classes with healing spells it is advised to keep a few of your healing spells in close proximity, for easy access.

Now a few more places for you to pick up skills.

As you level go deeper into the feral tree: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=0ZEMMsfd0xzb

Marksmanship, if you like dealing the damage: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=cZVVVoEzMx

Beast Mastery, if you want your pet to do all the hard work and just sit back and punch in a few buttons: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=cVbh0xgRik

The class is slightly bugged so don’t expect everything to work.

I personally prefer Fire spec for leveling, so here we are: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=oZggGz00Ioto

Retribution is what you want. Use a 2 handed weapon, which you can buy from the Weapon Vendor: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=sxZZtsxt00um

Shadow is probably the best for leveling , you can mess around a bit , but I’m putting points into spirit tap to reduce down time while leveling: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=bZZxMutMhRht

Lovely class to play, but one mistake can doom you. However since we’re leveling on easy mode, this is what you might want to go for.

Dagger in main hand. Start with Ambush. They should die faster after. Hemorrhage for continued carnage: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=f0eZ0xZAMcs0h0o

The Enhancement tree is the best for leveling in my opinion, quick fast damage. Keep the Windfury weapon enhancement (found in your spell book) up on both your weapons and everyday will be a Sunday. You can go for either a 2 handed (a single 2 handed weapon with large burst damage) or dual wield (using a weapon in each hand): http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=hZxVczi0sVdo

I guess destruction or demonology is the way to go, I haven’t much experience with this class, but I guess this is what it should look like: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=IVZ0xZxx0trhz

I prefer dual wield for quick leveling, 2 handed could take some time: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=LhZVV0GgxMM

Alrighty, now that we’re done with your probable specs let’s move on to more engaging tedious isuues. Like leveling, the very reason I’m sitting here typing away while I could be running around killing people on my rogue?

Get to your trainer, both weapon and class, learn everything he has to teach and don’t forget to pick up your Dungeon 2 gear and a decent weapon (you might have to look around to find the trainer of choice and the various vendors, but stay inside the ring, they are all there).

Most smart people (like yours truly) actually bother learning riding from the ‘Riding Trainer’ and buy a mount from the ‘Pet Trainer’. Get back in and take the portal to the Horde leveling area.

Once you reach Tanaris, you may run into Gadgetzan and talk to the General Goods vendor who sells Primal Mooncloth bags. Now don’t be an idiot and buy 4 of them and equip (click your bag to open, then drag the Mooncloth Bags to the empty bag slots and accept the confirmation that pops up) them as soon as possible.

They provide the most space and hence allow for maximum storage. Also set your hearthstone to Gadgetzan. Look for the Inn, speak to the innkeeper and set your hearth. Gadgetzan is a central point and helps you get around very fast. ALWAYS PICK UP THE FLIGHT PATHS FROM THE FLIGHT MASTER. ANY YOU FIND, THEY WILL HELP YOU LATER ON.

The trick to being a good player is essentially using your head, know where your abilities are on your action bar and making sure you know when to use them.
