There are two kinds of people who have direct dealings with April Fool’s Day. Those who set up the pranks, and those who fall for them.

The latter sort can again be divided into two varieties – those who eventually understand that they have been had, and those who need elaborate pointers to realise the fact.

I am the last sort. And I figure that has nothing to do with being Oriya. Even though Utkal Divas, the official ‘Orissa Day’ (so to speak) falls on the first of April.

But we are not the vicious sort and would not be getting back at all you guffawing people with a clever prank of our own.
